Kuala Lumpur: General Director of Higher Education, Datin Paduka Ir. Siti Hamisah Tapsir along with a score of delegations from Department of Higher Education attended the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Joint Discussion at Asia Business School (ASB) in Sasana Kijang.
The objective of this official visits is to find a strategic partner to introduce entrepreneurship skills into public university syllabus. The mission is to make local university graduates equipped with the skills to venture into startup and not just being a job seeker.
During the discussion, the delegations were briefed by Senior Lecturer and Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Mr. Rajesh Nair. He was promoting FabLab, their workshop program that provides access to digital fabrication tools, education workshops, making events and as a vibrant community (maker movement). FabLab was created at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and designed as an open souce community where people come and make and learn together. The ASB FabLab will be a change agent for innovation and entrepreneurship and will offer the best ecosystem for ASB students to engage in, linking them to tinkerers, makers, and the local startup scene.
