>> UUM Programme - Pathfinder Investment Camp (UPIC) was launched on 13th October 2008.

>> This programme aims to increase the involvement of Public HEI graduates in the field of finance and create a pool of skilled talent for the Malaysian Financial sector.

  • 500 selected graduates selected from the Online Simulation Competition will be given hands-on training on the financial industry

  • Students will be placed in companies that require workforce in the following areas:

    2. Venture Capital/Financial Analyst
    3. Stock broking
    4. Investment Banking
    5. Corporate Banking
    6. Financial Planning
    7. Public-listed Company
    8. Auditing

>> All graduates and final year students of the Public HEIs

>> Specifically in business, economy, accounting, finance and banking fields

B) Code 8 MIMOS - CENTRE OF DOMAIN EXPERTISE ACCELERATION IN ICT

• This programme aims to prepare skilled workforce in ICT to fulfill the demands of the ICT industry of Malaysia.

• Students will be trained in the following fields:

  1. Cyberspace Security
  2. Encryption Systems
  3. Communication Technologies
  4. Micro Systems
  5. Knowledge Technology
  6. Advanced Informatics
  7. Micro Energy
  8. Grid Computing
  • Selected graduates will be placed in MIMOS to undergo training for 12 months.
  • The different phases of implementation will be as follows:

  • 1. First phase 6 months
    'Fast track’ programme where they will be trained based on the module and syllabus in line with the projects conducted by MIMOS especially in applied research
    2. Second phase 6 months
    Graduates will be placed in MIMOS laboratories for project development.
    3. End of Programme Graduates will be absorbed into MIMOS or technology recipient companies under MIMOS.

    C) PNB - KPT INVESTMENT BRIDGING PROGRAMME

    >> This programme is jointly organised by MOHE and Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and was launched on 24 March 2009

    >> This programme aims to provide graduates with training in Islamic Finance and Takaful as well as Islamic Banking.

    >> In 2010 it is expected that 150 graduates will be trained.

    >> Graduates will be provided an of allowance of RM700 per month

    >> Stages of implementation:


    1. Phase 1 Graduates will follow intensive training in PNB for 3 months
    2. Phase 2 Graduates shall be placed in PNB subsidiaries for 3 months

    Who should apply?

    >> Malaysians

    >> Possess Bachelor Degree or equivalent in any discipline

    >> Minimum CGPA of 2.50

    >>Good speaking and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia

    >> Active in extra-curricular activities

    >> Interest in self development
