The government of Malaysia is now emphasising on the research and development done by the local universities for the development of the nation’s economy. Therefore, MyRA has been developed by Ministry of Higher Education(MOHE) for the local universities to self-monitor their achievements in the Research, Development and Commercialisation (R&D&C) . The MyRA instrument can be accessed through the MOHE website.The purposes of MyRA are :-

To evaluate the performance of local universities in R&D&C activities

For application of Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS)grant by universities

For application to be a Research University; and
-
Evaluation on the impact on the IPT that had been given Research University status
