PREPARATION BEFORE GOING ABROAD |
| Minimum Qualifications |
Students are required to refer to the JPT to ensure their academic qualifications meet the minimum requirements. |
| Information of HEIs Abroad |
The information can be obtained from the website and the country’s Permanent Representative Office. |
| Recognition of the HEIs Abroad |
Students must refer to the Public Service Department to check on the status of the HEIs they are interested in. |
| Application for Non Objection Certificate |
The application form for NOC can be obtained from the JPT website. Forms must be completed and submitted with supporting documents. |
| Application for Passport |
Students who do not possess a passport are entitled to a 50% discount by submitting the NOC together with their application to the Malaysian Immigration Department. |
| Application for Visa |
Students must deal with the National Representative Office of their respective countries to obtain student visas, bringing with them the NOC. |
GUIDELINES WHILE ABROAD |
| Registration at the Permanent Representative Office/ MSD |
Students are advised to register with the Permanent Representative Office/ MSD in the respective countries by using the form provided or by registering online. |
| Membership with the Malaysian Student Association |
Students are encouraged to participate in activities run by the student associations registered with the Permanent Representative Office/ MSD in the respective countries. Students are advised not to participate in activities that can tarnish the country’s image. |
| Current Issues in the Respective Countries |
Students are advised to always update on local current issues. |
| Upon Completion of Study |
Students are advised to inform the Permanent Representative Office/ MSD upon completion of their studies. |
