DISABILITY ACCESS W3C

This Website provides facilities to help those who need a little modification to the content of this site so that it can be read in the best way possible. This is to meet the objectives of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), which is for the Website to be accessible by Persons with Disabilities (Orang Kurang Upaya: OKU). Most of the menus can be accessed on the left column.
Among the facilities provided are:

  • Text Re-size :2 2 Changes the text size to be larger or smaller to suit the user.
  • Contrast Variation Portal :rrrr Changes brightness or darkness of the display to suit user preference.

  • Text Color Selection : Changes the text color of the portal to facilitate the reading of those with vision problem or color blindness.

  • Text Reader - When browsing this site, you will find an icon on the top-right corner of the content box. Clicking on the icon on the top-right corner of the content box will initiate the Text Reader. The Text Reader will take some time to upload depending on the length of the text. Please note also that the pronunciation produced will not be as perfect as human speech. At present it pronounces English words correctly:

    (a)Internal text reader - When browsing the website, you will find theicon at the right-top of the content box. Click on the icon and a box will appear. Please wait for a while for the page to load. You can hear the speech as well as download the generated mp3 from the page. Please take note that the load time might be longer if the text to be processed is longer. Please also take note that the sound may not be precisely pronounce and currently only processed the English word correctly.
