The Closing Ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the 19th Annual Review Meeting of the AIMS Programme 2025, celebrating the steadfast commitment of member countries towards strengthening regional cooperation and advancing student mobility across Asia.

 

The event was graced by YBhg. Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman, Director General of the Department of Higher Education (KPPT), who delivered the closing speech. Also in attendance were YBhg. Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, Centre Director of SEAMEO RIHED, YBrs. Professor Dr. Zainal Amin Ayub, Deputy Director General (Research and Academic), Department of Higher Education, and YBhg. Dato’ Seri Professor Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia, as the co-host.

 

In her closing remarks, YBhg. Datuk Prof. Dr. Azlinda Azman highlighted AIMS’ growth and impact across 10 member countries and 90 universities, the importance of regional collaboration and student mobility, Malaysia’s commitment to accessible and quality higher education, and the introduction of University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives that reflect AIMS’ holistic vision.

She also outlined the chartered way forward, focusing on strengthening partnerships, enhancing mobility, improving support systems, and nurturing future leaders with global citizenship and resilience.
